FILM SYNOPSIS:

Waking from yet another midday fever sweat at 3:00 PM, middle-aged desert casino employee Zeke pries himself from a warped dream post night shift. Tearing open the curtains and blinking alive the television, a pharmaceutical ad whispers at full volume.

“….and so can you experience a life like so many others… A life with Emotia… A life meant to be lived…”

...Instrumental break…

“Now, from Somatix Corporation, Emotia offers an otherwise unprecedented level of mental awareness and emotional control. In fact, you need only take one dose a month. Allow yourself to accurately sculpt and create the world around you with concise and direct objectivity all free from distracting subjective exaggeration. All without a doctor’s prescription.”

”Haven’t we all been told to not act out when too angry or sad for fear of clouded judgement? Imagine life without that emotional factor entirely. Evolve. Experience Emotia from Somatix Corporation.”

Zeke finds himself plagued with sudden unrecognizable bouts of extreme sensory turbulence and displaced memories.

Emotia, seemingly doing the exact opposite as advertised, offers nothing but aggressive manic behavior to both Zeke and countless others at the casino.

Newly hired poker dealer Bev may have the cure.

As an ex Somatix Corp pharmaceutical engineer, she reveals that Emotia is in fact a placebo but that also, the casino water supply has been tainted with a dangerous neurotoxin. Everyone working or staying at the casino have been first trial guinea pigs in a major government operation.

Can Zeke and Bev rid the lonely desert casino of the dreaded Somatix neurotoxin, and discover why it's there in the first place?
